About us!

Hello!
I am Jason Clark, your DJ!
Here, I'll chat a little about who I am, and the background of Dance Sounds Disco.

I am 36 years old, a child of the 70s. My first memory of music was Muds "TigerFeet", probably due to owning some Tiger Styled slippers.. The tune still brings a smile to my face today!

Moving onto the 80's, I was a teenager - torn Between Blondie and Madonna, I settled with both (grin)
In the mid 90's I was involved with a small nightclub in Sudbury, Suffolk - and then realised that I wanted to become a DJ!
Marriage and Children put those plans on hold for a few years.

I now DJ part-time. Its a enjoyable 2nd job, and totally different to my day job as a Development Engineer.

My car radio has a mix of Kiss 100, Virgin and Radio 1 depending what is playing, and sitting in a typical M25 Jam is a great way to explore new (or not so new) music.

I also enjoy live music and try to get out to see local bands. My favorite localish band is "Scam69", and they perform NewWave/Punk songs. Sadly they don't often play in my area!

My music collection spans the 1950's, right up to the current charts. My children know that when we go shopping, its normally a long boring walk around a music shop (or DJ store!).
I've recently invested heavily in lighting, and now run mostly LED based lights. My centerpiece still uses old-fashioned lamps, but looks very nice and I don't think it will be replaced for some time.

I have been asked "What is your favorite type of event". It's normally a family 40th/50th, however, I enjoy Childrens parties - they have so much energy and normally dance all night!

Weddings can be fun! Its such a big event, that I feel privileged to be part of the day.
I normally advise the Bride and Groom to pass my details to the Head Bridesmain and Best Man, as they sometimes want some surprise annoncements made.

I look forward to each enquiry, some are simply shopping for a price, and I normally provide lots of information to help them make an informed choice.
Feedback is generally good and even if I don't get the job, at least they will know that there are some DJ's that treat each enquiry with respect.

I hope this little page is interesting!

Best wishes,

Jason
